When you Wake up in the Morning –

  • Wash your face with luke warm water. Do not use bar soap, but rather a creamy cleanser or purifying gel wash.
  • Never rub you facial skin dry, gently blot with a towel.
  • Tone your skin to restore its natural pH level. Toning helps your skin to clean, clear & be ready hydration.
  • Apply a moisturizer matches your skin type. Moisturizing helps smooth away fine lines & dryness, keeping your skin feeling softer & smoother.
  • Apply a sunscreen on top of the moisturizer.
  • Now apply makeup using a foundation that matches your skin tone to ensure a natural look and radiance.

Before you retire for the Evening –

  • Start your evening regimen by cleaning your face with luke warm water, just as in the morning with a creamy cleanser or purifying gel wash to remove your make-up.
  • Apply a toner using cotton pads. Exfoliate the skin. Exfoliating will remove dead skin cells and brighten the skin.  This will give you skin a healthy glow.  Always massage for face gently & rinse well.
  • Finally, apply a moisturizer to your face that is specially formulated for your skin type. Use a firming eye cream around the eye area. It is important to note that you skin needs to breathe, so never go to bed with your make-up on. Make-up that is left on overnight clogs the pores & prevents the skin cells from shedding.  This will cause blemishes and/or blackheads. 

Some final thought on overall face care –

  1. Drink lots of water
  2. Wash your face at least twice a day
  3. Don’t smoke !!! – You have seen smoker’s skin plenty of times.  You will be old looking an wrinkled before your time
  4. Consume alcoholic beverages in moderation
  5. Do facial exercises & get facials
  6. Eat plenty of fruits & vegetables
  7. Treat yourself to steam sauna.  It good for the skin and reduces stress
  8. Never scrub your skin but rather gently massage it
  9. Get at least 8 hours of sleep
  10. Get plenty of exercise
